It would be asinine for UVA to fire Bennett, he is the case study for the philosophical question "Would you trade a first round exit every other year for one championship?"

Because Virginia the last 5 postseasons:

2018: lost to 16 seed
2019: champions
2021: lose to 13 seed
2022: NIT
2023: lose to 13 seed

I wonder why they were a 4 seed with an injury to one of their bigs Ben Vander Plas and a loss to Duke. Duke should have been the 4 seed in that region and UVA the 5 seed in our region.

I believe it has something to do with the committee’s propensity to get out the lube when putting together Purdue’s bracket region.
