Fire the Texas a&m coach!

Not so fast, a collapse more epic than ours by northern Iowa
I had same post too... LOL

The thing is N. Iowa lost their ball handler to injury late affecting their struggles. Purdue lost that game to Ark because of a lack of ball handlers and it affected Painter's coaching late in that game. Painter doesn't need to be fired. He needs to find better ball handlers in the off season. Maybe the players coming in will solve that. Maybe Painter needs to still find those players.

I understand the sentiment of all these Fire <<Insert Coach's Name Here>>! threads, but these are starting to get annoying. Are we going to have one of these with every upset?

Maybe. You can always ignore the thread.

It might help some folks better understand the chaotic nature of this tournament.

I get your point. But a point was trying to be made. I GET the frustration. But the kinda anger that hit this board and other Purdue boards about Firing a coach over an upset did not help the Purdue program. Doyle stated as much in his article. Northern Iowa blew a 12 point lead with 44 secs in regulation. I assure you Northern Iowa's coach is not going to be fired. Nor will their be a demand by the fan base to fire him. PURDUE will have a good team next year and likely be in the tourney. We will see in a year what transpires....

They may want to keep him around another week. That is all.
I'm guessing they won't fire him. I also bet he wouldn't blame his players if he had lost...but we won't have to worry about either....because he can win in the tourney. :)
