Maybe we can get Tillmon or Epperson. But Epperson may want to go somewhere else. Let's take Tillmon!
I think we were after Tillmon, would love to get him, hats off to them, they got an aggressive AD.
He'd probably be our AD if only we had offered him out of HS. Josh Whitman is a class act.
He is aggressive (although one could argue firing a coach after 4 seasons of no tournament is not that aggressive these days). Not always a good trait as taking risks can backfire big time in the business. Lovie was a very interesting hire - will be interesting to see how he pans out. I'd expect the basketball coach to be more of a safe hire vs. outside the box.

I would want them to take Jeremiah Tillmon between the two, but I don't think he ever showed interest in the Boilers.
Pass on Tillmon - he is most likely going to St Louis. Long story short - there were questions if he was even signing with Illinois right up to signing day.
Also not sure how the scholarship release works after a coach leaves. Not sure if they are free to go anywhere or if the school restricts their release to non Big Ten schools

Did Epperson actually commit to Illinois, or was he just leaning that way? I thought he was waiting on Biggie's decision.
I think there was some articles stating he was a lean based on a question he answered after a game.
I think he is leaning Creighton but who knows
That to me is one of the best coaching jobs in the B1G. Easy to recruit and fans are hungry for hoops. They could be a beast in the B1G with the right hire. I've heard rumors Zo is high on their list.
