No more ridiculous than people calling for Painter to be replaced. And he's not wrong.
Makes me think of the guy still doing "wassup?!" from the bud light commercials.
I get that this was sarcastic, but honestly the Wisconsin gameplan surprised me. If Gard watched taped vs Ga St, L'ville, Minn, he saw that packing the lane and forcing Purdue to make perimeter jump shots can be effective. It seemed to me that they decided to play Purdue pretty straight up today. We did a good job screening and got several really nice mid range jumpers and I don't remember them ever helping against Haas. In fact, they tried to front him 1:1 a couple times which seemed strange. Purdue shot well from the perimeter today, but the game really got out of hand in the second half with guys scoring in or near the paint. I guess I would have forced Purdue to continue to shoot from the perimeter.

Gard, you mean the guy who in half a HALF A SEASON at Wisconsin has won two more NCAA tourney games than Painter has won in the last FOUR YEARS. And with that Sweet Sixteen appearance has had as much success in the NCAAs in that half a season as Painter has in the last, what, six or seven seasons.

You mean he inherited a team that had gone to the Final Four the previous two seasons and only got to the Sweet Sixteen?
