Purdue plans on hosting a number of visitors to cap off spring practice. Boiler Upload gets you ready for the big weekend.

*We will update this list as more visitors become known*

Late Addition To The 2023 Recruiting Class?

A 2023 running back emerged as a potential addition to this year's recruiting class earlier this week. After being offered by Purdue running backs coach Lamar Conard on Tuesday, Christian Womack will make the trek up from Tomball, Texas, to West Lafayette.

Womack told Boiler Upload that he intends to join the Boilermakers ahead of next season but wanted to take an official visit before making a final decision. Before the Boilermakers entered the mix, he planned to play for Blinn College (a JUCO in Texas).

Over his last two years at Tomball, Womack rushed for 3,484 yards and 47 touchdowns. He earned a TWSA Third Team All-State selection and the District-15 6A Offensive MVP award in 2023.

Crown Jewel Read To Recruit:

The top-rated prospect in Purdue's class of 2024 haul will be making his second visit to campus in the last few months. Four-star quarterback Marcos Davila headlines the group of incoming visitors after committing to the Boilermakers in early March.

Since his commitment, the Midland, Texas native has been actively recruiting fellow highly-touted prospects to follow him to West Lafayette. He will have an opportunity to do so in person when he steps on campus this weekend.

Incoming Transfer Cornerback Checking Out Campus Again:

Incoming transfer cornerback Salim Turner-Muhammad will be back on campus this weekend. It will be his first time in West Lafayette since committing to the Boilermakers on National Signing Day in February.

Turner-Muhammad is one of two current cornerbacks slated to join Purdue this summer, along with recent commit Marquis Wilson. D-II All-American Shon Stephens could also be added to that group if his hardship waiver is approved. The former Stanford Cardinal defender will provide much-needed experience to the Purdue cornerback room this fall.

Top 2024 Targets In Attendance:

Three-star defensive end Caleb Mitchell Irving was a part of Purdue's large contingency in early March for a junior day weekend. The Dallas, Texas native returns to West Lafayette during the final weekend of spring practice.

Mitchell Irving has become one of the top targets for Brick Haley and the Boilermakers in the class of 2024. The three-star prospect also has a connection with former Purdue standout George Karlaftis, as the two trained together when Karlaftis was preparing for last year's NFL Draft.

One of the weapons Marcos Davila is hoping joins him with the Boilermakers is fellow Texas and three-star wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman. The Ridge Point receiver has been on the radar of Cory Patterson for some time and will visit West Lafayette for the first time this weekend.

Bethel-Roman is also the teammate of another Purdue target, Mason Dossett, who visited campus last weekend. The Boilermakers are looking to make the 6'2" receiver the first pass catcher in the 2024 recruiting class with an impressive visit.

An intriguing inside linebacker prospect from Ramsey, New Jersey is set to make his first trip to West Lafayette this weekend.

Three-star Jayden Brown is one of just five inside linebackers in the class of 2024 with an offer from the Boilermakers at this point of the recruiting cycle. Kane has been selective with who he offers and Brown has become a priority for the Purdue defensive coordinator.

Brown has recently visited Syracuse, Duke, and West Virginia in the last month. He also has Power 5 offers from Connecticut, Maryland and Boston College.

Archbishop Stepinac defensive back
Samuel Madu has been busy this spring, visiting Notre Dame, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Penn State recently. Madu will add Purdue to that list this weekend when he steps on campus.

The White Plains, New York native picked up an offer from the Boilermakers in late January and has been a sought-after target ever since. Madu has offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Duke, Michigan State, Syracuse, Connecticut, and others.

He has also trained with current Purdue safety
Sanoussi Kane in the past, and the two have a good relationship. Madu is a name to watch moving forward for the Boilermakers.

Another safety will join Madu in visiting the Boilermakers this weekend, as East St. Louis product LeonTre Bradford is set to take his second visit to West Lafayette in as many months.

Since he was last on campus, Bradford has taken a pair of visits to Missouri and Wisconsin, both of which have extended offers to the three-star safety. Purdue will also have to fend off Oregon, Nebraska, Ole Miss and others to land Bradford.

The Boilermakers have positioned themselves well for the rising defensive back as he is another name to watch in the coming days and weeks.

One of the top in-state prospects in the class of 2025 is making another unofficial visits to West Lafayette this weekend. Three-star defensive end Damien Shanklin will be on campus for the final spring practice.

Shanklin has taken recent visits to Cincinnati, Iowa and Louisville over the last month. The Boilermakers will likely be in the mix when Shanklin begins cutting down his list in the future.
