Not trying to sound like a prick here, but.....Why feel sorry for a person who was allowed to play after breaking team rules? Why feel sorry for a person who did what he was given a free education from a major university to do? Why feel bad for a person who's been allowed the opportunity to perform on one of the world's largest stages....an opportunity that any of those kids sitting in the stands would have loved to have had.
Sorry, I've never been a Yogi fan. He chose IU, and he deserves what he got. No matter what Dakich said today, there's not much room in the league for a 5'9" player who chokes at the end of the game. It's time for lil' Yogi and his overbearing mama to move on.
...........
I'm sorry, but are you actually trying to say that Yogi should have not been allowed to play again after trying to sneak into Kilroy's with a fake ID during Little 5 Week? Really?
oh, and I Have stood next to Yogi multiple times and he is not 5'9".
not surprised that you guys are focused on IU, but try to have just a shred of objectivity when you obsess.
Court, let me ask you an honest question....Did Yogi break team rules? Did others do the same? Was an IU player ran over by another IU player? Was HMP arrested for driving down the sidewalks of Bloomington? Wasn't it widely speculated at that time that Yogi was, or had been in that same car that night?
That's Crean's MO....skirt the rules and look the other way. He deserves the pain and agony he's getting right now.
Now for that question....You've always been a big Crean guy. Do you still want him back next year? Honestly?
And Yogi is a whole lot closer to 5'9" than he is to the reported 5'11".
The Yogi and the car thing is a pretty big stretch. Doubtfull that's true. Seems like a fine young man. No comment on a couple others down there.
