Just was browsing twitter Where I saw that Dan Monteroso was 1st Team All Mountain East Conference in basketball. The article said he averaged 18.7 ppg and 5.7 rebounds per game. It also mentioned he was 2nd team all conference in football.

Damn sad his career at Purdue had to be stymied by one of the worst HC's in CFB history. Thank you to The Morgue...a very much deserved name.

Saw where his team won their conference tournament. He was on the all -tournament team. The made it to the D2 big dance. They are a 3 seed. West Liberty beat the #1 team in the nation twice this year.

always thou he was one of our more talented receivers. Wondered why he wasn't utilized more.

Wasn't strong or quick enough

I place more value on catching the ball than speed. Don Driver was a really slow receiver who could catch the ball. Was Monteroso better than the other Purdue receivers we had ? Who knows!!

If you arent strong enough to beat a jam or quick enough to get around it, you arent going to play.

ok. I'll admit it did seem like for the past 2-3 years our receivers were not getting open quick enough and our QBs were running for their lives trying to buy time.

Our receivers were just fine last year.. Yancey was great and Young was good until he got hurt. Blough just couldn't get it done. He always looked good until Purdue needed him and then he would make a crucial turnover
