Etling is looking good tonight. That speaks volume of our coaching.

There is a lot of talk about Purdue tonight of how he played for bad Purdue teams. Even when we have a bye week, we get to hear how far we have fallen and how bad we are.

The experience he had at Purdue must have been quite beneficial for his quick decision making ability. It must feel like he has all day to throw at LSU. Kinda like swinging a weighted bat in the on deck circle or putting into the tiny hole on the practice green.

Or shooting at tiny baskets at the fair, with overinflated basketballs.

We will be watching Etling go to meaningful Bowls for the next 3 years and succeeding at LSU.

Meanwhile, we will still be picking up the pieces from the Shoopnado that tore through West Lafayette.

We will only have to watch one meaningful bowl. He is a Senior.

As if our record was evidence enough.

Wish nothing but the best for either Etling or Appleby.
I wish nothing but the best also for both of them. I am hoping both are the starters for the 10/8 game of LSU at Florida. That would be an interesting game to see former Purdue QBs battling each other on a nationally covered game.

danny etling wins again. i'm gonna die of irony poisoning.

He also plays on a team thats LOADED.

LSU is a pretty easy job....you have a top 10 talent state all to yourself in recruiting.

Lots of elite OL. A Heisman candidate in the backfield. Elite and speedy WRs to throw to.

When was the last time Purdue could boast the above? I don't even think you can say we had all of the above covered under Tiller at any point.

nonsense! Then why couldn't the starter get it done if it's so easy?

LSU is a much more talented team. Plus, Danny Etling is an older, and presumably more mature, quarterback than he was at Purdue.

I wonder how things would have played out if DH2 would have stuck with Etling back in 2014. Would Etling have evolved into the quarterback he is today, or would the downward spiral have sucked him totally under by now?

Brandon Harris would struggle to carry water bottles here. He's that bad.

I still think Blough has the most pure talent of any of these guys. Etling and Appleby are bigger, but i don't think they have bigger arms.

There is a youtube video of all the throws Etling made vs. Miss St. There wasn't anything new in that video. Still has a case of happy feet. He just has a better supporting cast there. Thats the main difference I see.

oh i'm not trying to argue who's the better qb. It's just sad to watch our talent run away and have success elsewhere because our program is a dumpster fire. In an ideal world, I'd watch upperclassman Etling, then get to watch upperclassman Blough, instead of freshman, soph...I want the good years not the mistake years. heh!
