He played in an All-Star game last night, and was actually named MVP in that he played very well. He shared after that he was going to make an announcement regarding his commitment soon, and that it was down to Missouri, Marquette and Seton Hall.Eron Gordon is still uncommitted. I haven't heard his name in connection with Purdue. Are they even looking at him?
His grades were always an issue & he never developed into what Purdue, IU, etc thought he could be. He matured really young & has since plateaued. He's in a PG body that plays the 2 who can't really shoot. There's a reason why schools aren't that interested. He played in an All-Star game last night, and was actually named MVP in that he played very well. He seems to have things in perspective and had some perceptive quotes...I have watched him play multiple times over the past five years, and he is a bit of an enigma...he does have some talent and raw ability though, not to mention that he comes from a fairly talented and successful family with respect to basketball, and he is a big and physical player that can get to the basket.
He was offered by both Purdue and IU before he even played a HS game...he was going to make a commitment announcement some time ago, with IU a potential, if not likely, destination...but IU and Purdue both backed off on him. I believe the article mentioned that he had visited at least 40 campuses...and his "leader" has changed several times during the process. Recently, Butler was considered to be a bit of a favorite, but apparently they have backed off a bit, and he said today that they were not in his final three.
Maybe getting away from "home" will be good for him...will be interesting to see where he ends up, and how he fares.

apologies on that info, I heard that Seton Hall is the leader.Somebody posted he committed to Seton Hall.
Pa78 posted yesterday.
Not a big deal. If he had an offer it was probably a very old one.
Way too much known about him to be a sleeper. He certainly hasn't been under rock in a high school in Alaska.maybe he would be a sleeper to get?
Plateaued apparently just outside of the top 100 in the country...so not like the kid is horrible and//or can't play...and if Missouri, Seton Hall and Marquette are in and actively interested in his services, that would lend some more credence to that seemingly.
I do not disagree that he never became the player that many had thought that he would...including his own family for that matter, as he was touted as the best of the bunch when he was coming up...and he did physically mature well before a lot of kids the same age...but again, it is not as if the kid does not have talent.
He definitely is not a shooter, but he is exceptional in transition, he can get to the basket in the half-court, and he is very good at finishing at the rim...thus, if he could develop more skills that would serve him well at the point, he could be a nice PG.
He did, but it was due to being ranked far too high to begin with simply based on his name.Kid fell down the rankings fast.
Look for Ball State to land him if he hasn't signed by mid next week.Eron Gordon is still uncommitted. I haven't heard his name in connection with Purdue. Are they even looking at him?
He announced his decision last night, and committed to Seton Hall just as you had called it.apologies on that info, I heard that Seton Hall is the leader.
