Great game by Hunter today. Appreciate his tenacity and smarts in this game. Hopefully these last couple of games are indicators for the remainder of the season.

He’s like a totally different player in the past two games. I think it’s largely about confidence and I credit Painter for sticking with him when he was struggling.

Really like the guy, he has just been so frustrating this year. Glad he is finally playing like we know he is capable.

I agree. It's tuff cause Thompson can really shoot the 3. But just too small. Which is fine if u fast enough to break down defense and dish - but he just isn't. Tuff for painter bc u can obviously see how hard IT has worked on his shot. Painter used IT just right amount today
If Hunter and IT are both playing to their potential, Hunter is going to start because his length gives him the edge. In that case, it is a win/win.
And Newman! He was key and it was great to see him in the scoring column again.
Very true. If Newman and Hunter continue to step up, this is a very hard team to beat...
It wasnt' even the hugggge baskets. His energy and defense has gone way up the past few games.

Made a great defensive play in 2nd OT as well...should have been a clean block of a dunk...even with the foul, both FTs were missed...it was a great effort play on his part.
I agree with crediting Hunter, but, the Seniors in general...they had a huge part in the ultimate outcome, and, it was apparent to me early that it was going to be the case, either way.
They struggled collectively early, and, it was easy to feel like they might be the culprits, but, all 3 did things later and down the stretch in particular.
Not their best day maybe collectively, but, they all were big when it mattered and no way Purdue wins that game without their collective efforts and contributions as well.
