Seeing Pack’s package, you have to wonder if this has Edey and Trev considering their next course of actions:
1) Trev- very small chance of landing in the NBA, but if he went into the portal, he’d be one of the top names in the country. Would a $400,000 package be worth more than the pay in Europe for a guy at his level?
2) Edey- his per-minute numbers and efficiency are up there with the best since advanced stats started getting tracked in the late 2000s. He might be the best player in the country next season. Packs deal being public probably helps him move the bar to another level. Could he land a deal blowing what Pack makes out of the water?
Even if Edey 100% wants to stay at Purdue, it seems like a no brainer for him to enter the portal so he can bring a number back for Purdue to match. It’s unclear if the NBA is in his future. The $500,000+ post tax that he could graduate with could prove material for him after graduating.
