can we have some confirmation like a tweet from him that he's back, or something from the coaching staff? other than his name is on the roster on this internet site ? and because I'm old and forgetful, and also bored, can we have a recap of why he left, and why he decided to come back? I would be sad to learn he came back because he found no other school was interested in him. I realize that would be sad to be a starter for Purdue, leave and find no takers, and then come back wanting his old job back..

Lots of things happen and go thru young peoples minds , the guy evidently wants to come back, give him another chance, glad he is back.

He's on the official roster issued by Purdue

Could it simply be an error? Don't get me wrong if the guy doesn't want to leave who are we to say no to a position of need. However, it would surprise me in a coaching transition that we'd be so quick to let someone who didn't want to be a part of things just simply return. Remember, part of the coaching transition is finding out who really wants to be there and weeding out those that don't. Either way, best of luck to the young man.

I am glad he is back too. But I hope it is under certain conditions regarding behavior, attitude, team-focus, and work ethic. And I am rooting for him to get any/all issues he has had behind him and start a new and positive future.

My concern is that, while he is back for now, it may not be for long if he doesn't do things the right way. But again, glad he is back and hope he succeeds in all endeavors. This is the last chance here.

Doubt it.

It could have been an off the field issue such as academics or Mary Jane or parking tickets and had nothing to do with Brohm or football. Or he could have overestimated his worth, and found out better teams weren't interested. Maybe he didn't quit and a suspension is in his future. Maybe a coach berated his play or wants him to switch positions.

Yes there is concern he may quit again, or repeat the action that caused the team to dismiss him. Or his parents could have kicked his butt and told him to get back on the team. Or a coach or player may have reached out to him. We shall see during spring practice, and we may not know for sure until the season starts.
