Eddy Wilson has a busy next couple days.
The defensive tackle is bunked in a dorm at Wayne State right now, preparing to play in the Border Classic All-Star Football Game on Saturday afternoon.
The annual game pits the top 40 senior prospects from Michigan against the top 40 from Ohio.
“It’s actually gotten me ready for college,” said Wilson on Thursday while taking a break between practice sets on his second of three days of prep. “It’s an early rise, three practices, and a jammed-packed schedule. It’s helped to get me in shape.”
Wilson’s already packed up for his next stop. Immediately after the game on Saturday, he’ll drive from Detroit to West Lafayette, ready to enroll for summer school at Purdue.
He’s looking forward to that, but first has one last high school game to play.
“Just because it’s Ohio vs. Michigan, it’s a good rivalry game,” he said.
