I noticed on the Verbal Commits site, that his overall composite ranking is #49 for the 2017 class. That's as good as I've seen him listed. Does anyone know what his ranking is on the 247 site? I know it ultimately doesn't matter but it is encouraging if he's moving up (down, technically) in their rankings (improved this past season?).:

I hope he can improve his FT% real soon.

If he is a 6-6 guy driving the hoop to pass or score he will get fouled. Apparently, in HS that was one of his deficiencies.

Yes it was. I think it is because he would switch hands when shooting.

He has a good motion just will need to pick one hand and stick to it

Oh, I was unaware that he did that on his free-throws. Yes, he'll obviously have a better chance to become more consistent in making them if he sticks to practicing them with one dominant hand.

With the hair we've got another 7 footer!

Obligatory Fletch reference in 3, 2, 1....

I'll have a steak sandwich, and put it on Painter's tab...

I thought Painter was 6' 5" and he appears to be the same height. Do like his wide shoulders...... Will be good for leverage and creating space.

I know Painter was listed at 6'6 as a player but often times, players are listed about an inch taller (sometimes two inches taller) than they are in actuality. So, he's at least 6'5, maybe 6'6.

I can fathom how Painter is able to attend (with his annual income plus it's a recruiting trip to see Ondigo) but how was Eastern able to go west? Is he there with family?

He was able to go to this event in the same manner you would. Why do you need to know these details? Are you an IU troll??

Painter goes every year with his father....family ritual.

My father and I saw Matt and his father at the Final Four in Detroit a few years back. Matt saw my Purdue vest and walked up and said hello.

Oh man that has to stop. I don't care if he stands up their and picks his nose as part as of his routine but he damn well better pick the same nostril every time! Routine is the operative word.

Umm... Unlike Landry he's a pg. I want him to be able to see over the D. We haven't had that here since Barlow.
And Eastern is as high quality a kid as you can possible have. If you haven't heard of the young man he has befriended and actually brought with him on his visit earlier this year, you are missing out on a great story! It was linked a few weeks ago but bears posting again IMO.
