East Lansing OKs smoking Pot

Whether smoking pot should or should not be legal is a separate conversation. But I have to assume there is an NCAA rule that bans it for athletes. Not sure it's performance enhancering, but might help players relax. Anyone know, on this the ban question that is?
 
No, it does not. They were already exempt from the laws of East Lansing.

Tell Basil, Kelsey Barlow and umpteen other players from PU, IU other schools and the NBA.

I'm not saying smoking pot is "good" for athletes -- it impairs oxygen intake, etc., plus getting caught may cost you playing time.

But let's not pretend it has been uncommon for at least 50 years.

So, are you saying that no players will enjoy the fact that they can't be arrested for pot in east Lansing. Sure does make it easier to partake. All I'm say'n.

Yea I don't think anyone is naive to think that their own team doesn't have or hasn't had players that smoke pot. Being able to do so with less chance of repercussion might certainly look attractive to some.
