meanwhile the media, bo, and some fans continue to denegrate Kentucky and others for doing the same thing. Much like notre dame duke and coach k get a pass because they somehow are "cleaner" and have true "student athletes". Say what you want about coach Cal at least he's up front about what he's doing and doesn't try to veil it as something other than what it is.

If you're comparing Duke to Kentucky, Duke is "cleaner" and has truer "student athletes." Coach Cal isn't up front about what he's doing. He's still never admitted he's done anything wrong despite having Final 4 trips stripped at two different schools.

Anyone who thinks Duke's coach (can't spell it and hate the "Coach K" thing) is comparable to Calipari is incredibly ignorant.

from everything that is out there, this was entirely clean. The kid is a smart kid, and apparently had set himself up academically to make reclassification a possibility. The 'this program is dirty for getting a big recruit' mantra just needs to stop.

I don't under why this is an issue. Didn't swanigan reclassified? Would that have made us dirty?

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

However, I'd argue that the tenth program just sucks at cheating. It's almost hilarious that some people think Duke or ND or Purdue (or anyone) is "clean". By the letter of the law, even if that tenth program wasn't trying to cheat, they would be - the rule book is so big and complex everyone is breaking a rule at some point, intentionally or not.

Honestly? Coach K comes knocking - says you can start at Duke - all you have to do is graduate early from High School? Who wouldn't do that?
