this could mean that Ohio State is out for Hunter? They also added a forward. Not sure what their scholarships look like, but this could help with Hunter. It would be a lot less nerve racking if he would just cancel that Minnesota visit. It's obvious we want him if you look at his timeline on twitter! He is the last one we are really holding our breath on. King announces tomorrow, so we can either let that go tomorrow or Boiler nation is about to be lit. Either way, Hunter should be a Boiler.

It looks like OSU still has 3 scholarships open for this class. Their projected roster still needs impact guards, so I doubt OSU pulls the offer.

A commit from a combo guard at Hunters position can't hurt Purdue's efforts though.

Seems reasonable to me. Assuming OSU fills all their open rides, they're gonna have a little class imbalance to work through over the next few years. Will be interesting to see how Holtmann manages that. Accepting players to fill out the roster when you have a lot openings is almost a necessity, but certainly not ideal to have 5 or 6 guys in the same class for any period of time (unless of course 1 or more are early NBA types, but I don't expect OSU to be pulling that level of player right now).

I would think Holtmann would go the JUCO or grad-transfer route to try and level out his classes. He is going to be given a grace period, as most coaches do....so if he can fill that young talent with the best possible players and then fill the gaps with older transfers and JUCO's...he likely will inevitably be able to build a solid nucleus by year three with those in his first class being juniors.

Saw Muhammed is announcing today. If he goes OSU, that will really help us with Hunter.

Looking at his timeline he has it narrowed down to OSU and Xavier. OSU looks like the favorite based on what he has been posting. It also makes sense because Washington just committed and Hunter just visited. I am guessing Muhammed will go OSU and put it down to Minnesota and Purdue for Hunter. Purdue would have to be the favorite here, but stranger things have happened.
