Drew Brees and Will Lutz had to save the PREVENT DEFENSE.

Prevent defense let Houston Texans drive 75 yards in 2 plays. That was shameful. Any Head Coach should watch that as a template of what Not to Do. A 6 pt lead was turning into a 1 point loss till Drew and Will put the dagger in Houston.
Coaches that are paid millions should scrap that prevent defense it rarely if ever works well.

Funny thing is, Houston turned around and did the same thing to allow NO get in field goal range in < 40 seconds. SMH

Uhhh....I think your definition of Prevent Defense is different than mine. Saints were blitzing and playing main coverage at the end. That's not Prevent Defense and is very aggressive playing calling. That's why Houston scored in 2 plays.

That absolutely amazes me! All that money they get paid and their creativity goes all the way back to grade school football? Peewee? Not very creative and not very effective but it sure made for some fun for the viewer!

Prevent defense for the Saints would have probably won the game 27-21. Houston didn't have time to work down the field 10-12 yards at a time.

The problem was they let the best receiver in the game get behind them on the 1st play.

Also, it amazes me how teams just continually kick the ball deep in these situations. A pooch type kickoff would have taken some potentially valuable seconds off the clock. Both teams failed at this.

Exciting finish to say the least.

Hard to believe, but apparently it was the first MNF game with multiple lead changes in the final minute of the 4th Quarter. That covers more than 700 games. And after last year's egregiousness in the NFC Championship game, the Saints are due some good fortune.

Or something like this, too.
