Double OT victory

Boilers came from down 17 at the half, on the road, with 2 starters in foul trouble, lose Bree Horrocks to an unspecified knee injury, 2 players foul out, and we win by 10 in double OT. What are the odds?? Very proud of this team!

Congratulations to the women's team. What a great comeback victory. This team seems to know how to win and gets it done.

I remember a couple years ago the women played against IU. Gametracker said we won but IU actually made a last second shot and beat us. I was so pissed when I found out. Your surprise was much better.

Watched the game on BTN Plus last evening (couldn't watch Sat) and what fun. (So much easier to take when you know the outcome.) These women never quit even when it seemed hopeless.

The Penn State announcers said the the loss was "devastating" for them. I wonder if Coach Washington's job is in danger? People here talked about Versyp trashing our "once rich tradition" of winning but Penn State's fall has been much worse with no sign of recovery.

This year has gone a long ways towards improving the outlook for the program. If we had an experienced point guard back next year, I think expectations might be very high. Hopefully we can land Harris from Heritage Christian. A steady point guard is really all that's missing next year with Morrissette, Perry, and McBryde back and the highly rated forward from Lawrence North coming in. Strong point guard play will make or break the team though (watching Wilson this year shows how much point guard plays means) and Harris could be that player next year if she decides to come to Purdue.
