Double knee brace mandatory Saturday

Can't say I didn't think about this. Don't like that floor over the ice rink at all...it's bad news. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best. 1st priority stay healthy, second priority win the game! We are a tough bunch, I think we will be OK!

what has it been? 8 years? move on

This doesn't affect the current players. They were in junior high when it happened. Purdue fans need to stop with always expecting the worst

Guys, don't worry

Jacquil Taylor has been stockpiling injuries every year since his high school junior summer just so he can give us an injury exempt 2018

To paraphrase Sully - JT made a sizable injury deposit every year to enable us to make a huge health withdrawal in 2018

I have always thought that this was our toughest game this week simply because I hate us playing there. We should win, especially if no Lynch, but that court just worries me.

Pretty sure there's no ice under the floor anymore. They built a 10000 seat hockey arena across the street a few years back called Mariuchi Arena.

Yes...which led to the awesomely hilarious outtakes video from a local car dealership:

Ooooooh, Geeez.....that's gotta hurt.

Oh, you betcha, Wade....how you doing there? Watchin the Gophers; have you thought any more about that deal I brungya?

Im just honored to be the first to put down text that was scrolling thru the minds of many. And get threatened with a Bartman label! Thats the big league.

Truly tho, I have no expectation of disaster. Just a win over a team on what seems like an irreversable downward trajectory.

Not a hockey fan, but I did go to a game back in '86 or so at the old Mariucci /Williams Arena. The building was split into two arenas with the hockey side being on the west side, behind the wall behind the basket where the band and student section are. (to the right on TV during a BB broadcast) You can see in the linked video that the east goal is recessed under the incline created by the basketball seating.

The place was sort of odd as you can see, and the new place next door seems to lack the same "charisma". They have actually played basketball games in the new hockey arena (high school and women's games).

The old hockey space is a volleyball and back up women's BB arena now.

There is growing sentiment to heavily renovate the old building for BB. If they steal some space from the west end for fan amenities and premium seating, and build a big structure for fan flow and other luxuries leading out to sidewalk it might work.

Then again for the amount of money spent they could just blow it up and start over and get something like Nebraska, Maryland, Oregon or Missouri have.
