Former Purdue football player Glenn Knecht passed away. He played in the mid 50s. Where he really made his mark was in coaching and politics. He had a truly outstanding career at Crawfordsville in the late 60s/early 70s and was the schools first coach to reach 100 victories. In those days of pre open state tournament, Crawfordsville was a power in the state. He later went on to serve successfully as mayor of Crawfordsville. Just thought I would pass this on as I haven't seen it posted here.

Was my mother’s drivers ed teacher in 73. Never knew he played football.
