The Big 12 is looking at 17 schools to fill 2 spots or could add as many as 4 additional teams. Does the Big Ten stay at 14 or do we go to 16 or 18 teams in the future?

Besides Notre Dame, who I don't think we could get, who would be our on our wish list if we expanded again?

Well, if the Big12 added 4 teams it would only have 14, which would match the BIG and SEC. Yes, the BIG 12 doesn't have 12 teams currently.

Expanded wishlist......UNC, Ga Tech, UConn and really that's it. You could maybe say Cincinnati is a fit. Could extend into the southern footprint with Memphis but I have a feeling they will be snatched up by a major conference soon enough (most likely the Big 12).

SMU likely gets the raw end of the deal when the BIG12 expands to 12 (Houston and Memphis currently have more to offer). If they expand to 14 though they will likely be in. Would like to see Cincy in the Big12 more than the BigTen. Would make it harder for us to recruit against them in Football for sure. If the Big12 added Cincy, SMU, Houston and Memphis, that would be a pretty solid upgrade IMO.

UVA, I think the B1G was looking at taking UVA and GaTech from the ACC when Maryland left.

UVA or GT would both be great pickups. UVA would have academic standards on a par or superior to many B1G institutions and Charlottesville is a cool town to visit. I was at ND/UVA game at Scott Stadium last Sept and the entire student body has a tradition of dressing up (men sportcoats/ties) (girls dresses). GT would be comparable to PU w/engineering & research traditions plus going to Atlanta for FB & BB games occassionally sure beats a weekend road trip in State College, Bloomington or IA City

OSU will never allow Cincy in the Big Ten, ever.

Depends if you are looking to extend the BTN for more money or looking to bring in quality athletic fits! Memphis and Georgia Tech would add thousands of viewers that could up the $$$ back to the schools with new territory or go the Kansas UConn route and add one to each end of where the B1G is now!

Goes to 18.....we add Boston College, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech.
*Note: If BC won't come then add Virginia Tech.

Break it up into 3 divisions of 6 and whoever wins there division with best record gets the bye for Big Ten Title Game......

Boiler Up!

Pull the four most lucrative schools out of the Big 12 (Texas, KU, OU, WVU?), relegate the Big 12 to second class status, and dominate from NY to Texas!

Bwahaaahaahaaaaa!!!!!!

All ACC schools recently signed a GOR until 2036 (including ND) so all of them are off the table for two decades. B12 GOR expires about the time that the B1G's new TV contract is up so the obvious picks are Texas and Oklahoma to 16 and add Kansas and Mizzou if we want to go to 18. No way we ever add WV.

ND status is really unknown. The ACC commish says ND signed on but then again, Big East commish Mike Tranghese said again and again and again that ND was on the hook for the $5M exit fee. ND left the BE without paying a dime.

Add Colorado and Kansas so we have 2 winnable football games every year.

If ND joins a conference for football in the next 20 years, it has to be the ACC.

Wup, wait minute. Have you SEEN the contract that stipulates ND must join the ACC. Has the ND president or AD ever publicly confirmed this? Or are you parroting the spin of Commish Swofford?
