I do not know who started the "Queen" comments on Tom Crean or why people continue to use them. Maybe this was an attempt at humor but is disrespectful to women and gay men. For those of you who believe a woman cannot coach I would ask you to look at Pat Summit's coaching history. I am certain there are equally good homosexual coaches. Maybe comments like "Queen" are why we do not hear more about them.

Just put the ones offending you on IGNORE. In case you weren't aware, there has been an awful lot of offensive things being said between PURDUE & IU for a very long time. This doesn't make it right, but it is a fact of life. Get used to it.
While I have never used nor do I condone the use of that by the resident worse-than-kessel troll, making a post on here about how you're offended is just silly. Put them on ignore or stop using the internet because there are far worse things out there.

On a tv broadcast the color guy mistakingly called him Queen...pretty sure that's why it has legs.
Agreed...as stupid as we all can be, myself included...we all still have the freedom to think and say what we'd like. Which is exactly why we have the ignore option. A simple & silent reply leaving the culprits to wonder if anyone is reading what he/she has to say...and that answer would be no.

Fact is that he does exhibit some traits. That doesn't make him a bad coach. His coaching does.

Agreed. I am now having to figure out if the movie on the Stanford Prison Experiment should have been used or not based on the comments of a substitute teacher I had this week. Using the movie that came out a few years ago to teach about ethics in sociological and psychological research and other than Milgrem's 'shock experiment,' there really is no better example of how an experiment can go wrong BUT give results that benefit society. Creates quite the conundrum for a lot of young people to consider what is and isn't ethical...and now I have a butt-hurt substitute who feels the material is too suggestive and too harsh for them to watch (Rated R film with mostly 18 year old seniors and 17 year old seniors/juniors who have written permission from parents/guardians).
