Well, I have just come out of my self-imposed sports watching embargo after the St. Peters "experience". As I reflect on what happened, it just seems to me that there are many similarities from one March to the next with the Boilers. We seem to often peak in February. This year it seemed like the last high point was the home win against the Illini at Mackey. This year it seemed like most of the other B10 teams peaked early as well. They seemed to stop improving. Looking at it I now wonder whether Iowa was actually that hot, or was everybody else slipping (I think Richmond showed us that it was the later). Wisconsin and Illinois limped to the championship and Purdue kept leaving teams hang around.
So is it the 20 game schedule plus tourney, the level of officiating, style of play, the scheduling, or perhaps the B10 does not have the talent level we think it does. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
