on a shot several seconds after that? AJ clearly gave a shoulder, imho it's debateable as to whether it's an actual technical considering what they've been allowing since he was basically bumping the guy that has been mugging him all game but regardless, the refs missed it. I was initially in favor of being able to check the monitors for specific reasons, like clock management, and last second shots, but it really seems like the refs are abusing the monitor to catch stuff they missed. If they had done their job, and called it when it happened, Trice never would have been fouled on the shot seconds later.
I don't understand how they get both calls in that situation.
On a side note, I have never heard the explanation for who get's to choose the foul shooter when an injury occurs during a foul, like when Dawson accidentally stepped on DM's face. That seems like one of the more ridiculous rules out there. If blood is drawn, the offense chooses the shooter, but if not it's the defense? So if a guy gets his arm broken by the defender, the defense is rewarded with being able to choose the foul shooter? Stupid rule.
