Did PJ win tourney MVP?

Now THAT is impressive. I heard that the other day but didn't think much of it because he is coming off the bench. But he played a ton today against a full court press.

He does have one "take-down," though.

I posted about PJ this summer after running into him at grocery store in Indy. He is a heck of a nice kid, and I am thrilled to see him playing this well already. Point guards need to be heady, balanced kids, and he seems to be both.

I know folks at his high school (Brebeuf) think highly of him as well. He looks like he is cut from the Boiler mold.

In a different thread discussing whether or not we will cut the rotation from 10 down to 8 or 9, I made the argument that PJ's minutes will probably go down unless he starts hitting more shots. Well, for more reasons that hitting shots, I take it back. PJ was the difference tonight, and if he's going to play like that then we need him on the floor. I thought Hill played well too, but PJ was so impressive. Boiler Up! We just beat that really good FL team by 15, and it should have been 20.

Well said. And let's not forget the wrestling takedown he did too :)

They tried to pick on him a lot yesterday and he shined. Helluva game from PJ. Stayed laser focused in the fray and was very impressive.

I loved how whe we went down by 1 with just over a minute to play in the half. PJ almost singlehandedly willed us back to a 5 point lead.

Gotta love this team. So many options and the heart we need to win with arguably the toughest B1G schedule.

I also like how the B1G schedule is set up. I know I am way ahead if myself here. But if we get past Pitt, Butler and Vandy unscathed. We could be undefeated going into February.

Okay. I've had too much kool aid...or have I?

P.J. really stepped up and played well. I'm glad CMP offered him after Terone's brother left. Hopefully his increased confidence makes this the start of an upward trend in his play.

Boiler Up

...........bench player LOL
Florida was daring PJ to shoot and was trying to slack off of him to help in the post, but PJ wouldn't let them get away with it. If he keeps this up, Hammons and Haas are going to be extremely hard to guard when he is in the game.

I don't know that you have had too much to drink. I saw the same thing when I looked at the schedule yesterday.
