Is there a more overrated thing in college basketball than depth? Let me specify that as within a game, not over the course of a season, which is important because of injuries. We played 8 guys today, two of which saw very little of the second half. We've had deeper teams, but somehow with a tighter rotation I feel this one may be better.
Sure, it would be nice to have one more post player to protect against foul trouble. But even with foul trouble Biggie was able to play (smartly, I may add) almost the entire second half.
I feel like with all the game breaks and the conditioning of these guys, keeping continuity is more advantageous than rest (Isaac being the one exception). I thought this was apparent in the second half today.
I will add that I am very impressed with Biggie's conditioning. For him to practically run the table that entire second half and still be going strong at the end.. Incredible.
