Democrats still haven’t received the message…

Liberal nonsense continues…

Can’t wait to celebrate “inseminated person’s” day in May……..not.
Really tough to support the Democratic Party currently. I really don’t understand how people do it.

Some Democrats support Luigi Mangio.

Some Democrats support Hamas.

Some Democrats support men participating in women’s sports.

Some Democrats are upset about DOGE.

There are numerous more examples, but these are the main ones currently.

you forgot the number of Dem's who support turning little 8 year-old girls into little 8 year-old boys. I know of no Conservative who feels that way.

Tbh I was a full republican until republicans started to become anti-science. Difficult to associate myself with that.

Just science in general honestly. Saw plenty of "don't trust science" protests over the past decade. Really made it hard to connect with republicans being an engineer.

Edit: And to add to that, it seems like the average republican voter is an uneducated person. Don't connect very well with that either.
There aren’t any republicans protesting anything. You can’t even name one example about not trusting the science. Since there are so many hard to believe an educated guy can’t think of one example.

Vaccines and global warming are the most obvious examples if those aren't obvious enough examples for you.

Here's a study about it from MIT: https://direct.mit.edu/daed/article/151/4/98/113706/From-Anti-Government-to-Anti-Science-Why

And here's another one: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1286457920301581

Well I guess you win as vaccines and masks don’t prevent one from getting COVID. I certainly am not a Fauci believer.

I choose not to support the side that believes Hamas is right, men can play women’s sports, fund a cold blooded murderer. I don’t see many if any democrats say this is wrong.

Congrats to you for switching political parties to now supporting the democrats agenda.

Right. I think Trump's greatest triumph of his first presidency was getting the Covid vaccine so fast. But he can't even talk about it, which is insane.

There is a lot more to it to be honest.

It seems like a lot of Republican arguments are red herrings and scare tactics to cover up that they do not have good policies. All the transgender and gender stuff is dumb. Like .5% of the population is transgender from a quick google search (and that feels high tbh), why is it half of the Republican's policy? Same with transgender people in sports, the number is so ridiculously small, who is really impacted by it?

Additionally, the whole platform for the past 5 years has been about "fixing" the elections and the fact that the 2020 election was rigged. That helps zero people.

Meanwhile, now that republicans have power the main policies in place seem to just be driving up prices by putting tariffs on everyone, trying to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, trying to make Canada a U.S. state, tearing down the education system, and causing chaos in the government.

It is difficult to vote for that or even to tell what the republicans stand for right now.

I do wish democrats were more clearly against Hamas and the Mangione stuff.

Of course there is climate change. Always has been always will be. Does man contribute? Of course! The worst are India and China. We are a ridiculous fraction, and probably contribute more by sending private jets to multiple million dollar environmental conferences, where we foot most of the bill. Scientists have received hundreds of millions to research the coming of one big ice cap, the destruction of the ozone layer, global warning, and the contention that the oceans are all going to rise in a foot in ten years. Do you think Obama believes it? If so, why did he spend tens of millions on a mansion on a penninsula?

Since the fifties, I have been an advocate for clean water, saving energy, composting, and recycling. This will be a bigger factor on saving the environment IMO. Also in finding bacteria called Ideonella sakaiensis that eats plastic.

Vaccines have gottten rid of many diseases. Over the past thirty years, at least 80% of parents who had their kids get vaccines around age two have sworn that coincided with their child getting autism. When the media continues to state that there is NO link, I definitely beliefve they are lying. Vaccines contribute to autism - period. As an engineer, you must conclude that is too much of a coincidence. BTW, I also think there are rays in the stmostsphere that contribute too, but that is hard to prove.

Mmmm...I'm a Republican and engineer, and I support the sciences If they're presented accurately and truthfully which they weren't under the Slow Joe regime. Fauci got his fifteen minutes of fame, lots of money, and accolades from the liberal left yet did nothing to improve the situation.

As you stated, DJT and Pence did a great/fantastic job of getting a quick and sometimes effective vaccine only to have it cost them another election by Dem lies and untruths to create hysteria among the lesser educated.

Come on now. You can’t say your proof that vaccines cause autism is that a lot of parents think it does (was that a joke lol).

Regardless, this is mostly opinion-based. I won’t ask why all of Slow-Joe’s facts were false, how the Covid vaccines didn’t work, and whether the us can really make a difference on global warming. We can just agree to disagree.

Most republican policies still either directly hurt me or do not affect me. It’s honestly hard to find one to vote for. Maybe immigration?

Can you list a few of the Democrats policies? They lost in Nov because they offered no policies or plans for the future.

Yes. Their current policies were working great for me. My pay went up substantially, the stock market skyrocketed, and inflation was getting under control.

Now, inflation is increasing, the stock market is dropping, the government entities I work with are starting to be in turmoil, and private companies I work with are starting to go under.

I guess it is more that republican policies seem to hurt me more than democrats help me.

How about reducing the government and it's workforce? How about reducing our national debt? How about building up our military with modern equipment? How about ridding the country of foreign gang members? And the last time I looked it up, illegal means doing something that isn't allowed. You know, like all those folks Slow Joe opened the floodgates for. I think that helps all of us.

Eh, those things don't affect me, are off base, or the Republican policies are harming them.

Republicans increased the national debt by 8 trillion last time they were in office, to act like they have better policies in place now is disingenuous.

The increase in military spending is a little insane, we already dedicate the highest percentage of our GDP to the military of any country in the world by a wide margin. I'd go more into the processes of why that is not enough rather than just throw money at it (See IU basketball).

I agree with ridding the country of foreign gang members, but is that what the new policies are doing? Why not just crack down on those gang members than go after illegal immigrants in general. Also, go after gang members in general, not just illegal gang members. If safety was the real goal, then go to some area notorious for having gangs and get rid of them.. Right? Or is this just another scare tactic?

To your point immigration is the thing I most agree with, but the inevitable outcome of just expelling all illegal immigrants is going to cause prices to rise. That's worse than the current situation.

The USA, from its beginning as a sovereign nation has been based on laws. Without laws, you have chaos which we had under Biden and his crew. We have LEGAL ways of coming to the USA, yet millions upon millions came ILLEGALLY under Biden. Legal equals law-abiding. Illegal is just that...lawlessness. If you're here illegally, then you must go back to your original home, and apply through the legal policy that IS in place and become a supporter of our laws that protect all.

And that 8 trillion of debt was caused by an unheard-of pandemic that played a huge roll.

The debt went up a trillion dollars a year prior to covid under the Trump. It wasn't going down, and is not an argument to pick Republicans.

And as for the illegal immigrants. I agree with you and wish the previous administration was harsher on immigrants. But all of the other baggage Republicans come with, particularly related to whether I can put food on the table for my family, heavily outweighs that particular issue to me.

How much did Biden add to the debt? ($8.4T if you didn’t know). 50% of the debt added by Trump was in direct support of the COVID pandemic. How much was added by Biden after the vaccine was available?

Sleepy Joe had to deal with covid and the fallout of covid too. The vaccine being available is not some magic time where covid stopped impacting the economy. He just had to deal with the fallout for four years. Trump only had to deal with it for 10 months. Even in non-covid times Trump was averaging around 1 trillion in added debt a year, that's still bad and not something I would focus on if I was a Republican.

If someone rolls 7 eight out of ten times, I believe it might have happened. If he does it ever day for a week, I am suspicious. If it is ever day for a month, I will say he is cheating even if the casino said they investigated it and found no link or proof. I will feel they have an ulterior motive.

This has happened for the past thirty years. Check records when they added stuff to vaccines and see that the additives coincide with the shocking rate of autism. Please ask any parent with an autistic child if they feel there is a correclation between vaccines and autism. I have.

I guess I am a conspiracy theorist because I also believe there is graft and corruption in DC. evenough there has been no proof or evidence.

There is no proof that Jesus rose from the dead. I believe He did because twelve apostles faces a horrific excruciating painful death instead of just saying that I may have been mistaken.

This is a good anti-science example that makes it hard to be a republican (ignoring the religious stuff, because I believe that is different).

I think it is settled. You shouldn't entertain being something other than a democrat and apologize for whoever suggested you becoming a republican.

I would hate to think that "Republican" now equates to "anti-science."

I worry that is more and more the case, or at least more and more the narrative.

I tend to be fiscally conservative, 100% pro-science, adhere to law and established process, and if you don't like it, elect new legislators who will govern differently. If pro-science is now a mindset that is being conceded to the liberals that would be bad.

The funny thing is if he were pro science as he believes he would have questions about the destructive ways of "Climate Change", but he obviously missed some assumptions and unaware of modeling and projection past the data. And totally oblivious to the numerous scientist not on the climate change payroll that disagree.

Democrats are no more pro science than republicans, but are definitely more emotional. Actually, I expect a "scientific study" would show democrats more than republican tied more closely to Liberal Arts and the "Soft Sciences" and that those outside the democrats are more likely to have majored in the sciences. As a matter of fact we know without the study that women lie more on the emotional or democrat side of the aisle and know they have less representation in the science fields. We know this has nothing to do with nurture because in the most equalitarian country like Scandinavia countries where women are free and encouraged to choose their field of study, they choose things that involve relationships with people and men typical choose to work with things. This was noted in Scandinavia studies. As countries became more equalitarian the difference in women and men field of studies grew apart as I previously stated and women veer to human interaction and men veer to things or more science.

That said, it appears without needing much depth in thought that democrats rather than republicans are less scientific. I just hope that if he keeps voting democrat that years from now when his children are grown and the pulls his 401 out that the dems haven't raised the tax rate so much that his retirement is worse than he believed he would get, but of course with DOGE perhaps social security will last more than 10 years and allow him some of this money that was taken from him and his workplace.

You seem to be one of those "rely on the data" guys unless the data contradicts your personally held biases or opinions.

Oh I have no problem with someone wanting to believe either way on the climate change destruction as long as they understand it is their best guess on a hypothesis. I'm much more agnostic along that line without reading anyone's opinion...particularly those that have a financial interest in being on one side of the ledger. If statistics are a science, and they are, then science informs me of the science errors in modeling outside the data and investigation reveals some assumptions. Something I wish I knew was "if" the world has experienced a hot and a cold time or somewhat of a sine wave...how many years represent pi? So far nobody has told me that, which I expected and don't expect to see it here. I suppose someone could attempt some carbon dating and such, but in the name of science how do you know that projecting outside the data is accurate, before you even get into some thought on measurement error.

So the question becomes or should become for those interested in science is just how much of the economy do you want to take a chance on in based upon something not proven to be a problem? Everyone has an island of knowledge and some islands are larger than others, but all are dwarf by the sea (of ignorance)

I mean, if you are comfortable with "people feeling things" is evidence, then yeah, we will never agree, and it's not worth a discussion.
It isn't worth a discussion since I have no idea what you are trying to say.
