If we can't get a damn win against a depleted Notre Dame team this year then I want Painter's head on a stake.
Lose Auguste & Jackson. Two of their leading scorers. Gives Beachem room to operate but they'll need a lot of role players to fill big scoring holes.
They signed Temple Gibbs Jr at G. He's New Jersey player of the year and leading scorer in history. One of the top PG's in the country. Will help the loss of DJ. They could land Thon Maker, too.
They should be fine next year with a pretty deep bench. Beachem is a stud.

He better be good if he's going to pick up where Jackson is leaving off. As far as Thon Maker, isn't everyone in the world still in on this kid? Seems like I hear his name with everyone.
Beachem is a stud, but he isn't great at creating his own shot or creating for others. He's pretty much, at this point, a really good scorer/shooter.
The game against UNC, ND's offense was essentially let Jackson do his thing, and either score it or set up his teammates. They're going to miss him, but they bring in some high rated recruits, like you said, which will help.
