Ok so far I have gone 7-3 in my picks and very glad Purdue is still alive and I think we all agree we will be dancing next week.
My dream is that we would face Wisconsin in the BTT and get a chance at Kentucky in the NCAAT.
The reason is two fold meaning that I want Purdue to play the best so this team can keep learning and slay goliath and also because it means we have done well in the tournaments.
Yesterday I had Wisky, Purdue, Maryland and O$U (wrong)
Ok so on to today and I think the following:
1) Wisconsin vs Purdue: I see another grinder game between us but more scoring than a usual game between us.
I see CMP telling the guys to leave it all on the floor and play aggressive defense but on offense we play super aggressive and we get to the free throw line. Yes I know Wisconsin doesn't foul, but in this game they are going to have no choice because we are going to shove the ball down their throats. Yes, Bo Ryan gets a technical and it doesn't help them because we just keep driving the ball to the rim. We win this one at the free throw line.
Purdue 71 Wisconsin 67
2) Maryland vs MSU: I will be honest and don't really care.....I will go Maryland winning with finesse even though MSU goons it up and plays physical.
Maryland 72 MSU 65
I could be way wrong on both of these, but for some reason, probably because I always stay positive and believe in Purdue and their abilities and especially believe in Matt Painter and his coaching abilities, that he will have this team ready and focused and will change up the game plan to attack Wisconsin and get them in foul trouble.
If they do not have the starters in the game and we get them fouling which they normally don't do, we can control the game and give ourselves a chance to snatch this win.
I know I will be one of the only one's picking us to win today, which is fine, but I truly believe we have a chance to play well and win this grinder game.
I say bring on Wisconsin and bring on Kentucky!
Hey bartender another Harry's Long Island down here please!
No matter what happens I am always proud of these guys and the pride they show representing Purdue.
Boiler Up!
