Davis is TOTALLY faking an injury...wtf?

He got hit in the nose, flopped...stopped flopping long enough to brace himself while falling...then helped off the floor with a leg injury?

I think he accidently hurt himself while he was flopping.

If not, De'Ron Davis is just the latest opposing player to collide with Isaac Haas and end up on the wrong side of it (Frank Kaminsky, Branden Dawson, and Anas Mahmoud of Louisville are a few others that come to mind).

Goings from MSU has a mask on his nose too since the Purdue game.

Haas probably should have been whistled when he brought both arms down, but I don't see much of any contact to his face...We need tougher players!

He's fine. I'm still puzzled how he hurt his nose enough to have a limp when he got up.
Ever heard of a concussion. Not sure that's what happened but those are pretty bad. Out of all the things that happened last night.. you guys decide to talk about the guy that got carried off the floor and call him a flopper?

Did you miss past games where IU players but on an act to get players ejected? Crean even said after the previous game that his players need to do a better job of acting. It was discussed on this board. Why would we NOT be skeptical? Read "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

Did you see the video above? I'm not sure there was ANY contact to his head/face/nose. Looks like a great acting job.

Hey Courtsense....no contact to the face, nose....none..but popping his arms up and faking the foul...come on. But your post is what we've come to expect from you because you continue to prove time after time that you know nothing. Here's to keeping Crean ten more years.

Hey dickbag, we talked about all those other things in other threads. This thread is about a kid who took his coach's advice and flopped on minimal contact and might have hurt himself doing it.

It was a decent flop though...cheating might be the only thing Crean teaches well.

I don't see the physical contact between Haas and Davis. Did the ball hit him in the face? If you watch, the ball flies upward from his hands. This might be a self-inflicted wound. At least his drop to the floor was gentle and he didn't bang his head. Often it is the fall that hurts as much as the arm/elbow. I did not see any blood when they got him back up, so a blow to the nose was not likely (bleeds too easy). I think the ball slammed into his forehead, hard, and jolted him badly.

Regardless of how he was injured, I hope he is okay. I doubt he would have lain on the floor as play progressed if he was not hurt. With no whistle, any fakery would have ended quickly.

Watch the replay, flop, acting...horrible.
He led IU in scoring against UM today. The IUStar said that his face was "battered" by Haas. Yet a photo, full-face view, of Davis sitting on the court before being walked off showed no obvious damage.

I doubt he was hurt.....except his pride playing for Tom Crean. Don't understand why he's not in the line up more to free Bryant up.

Its obvious (to me) what happend to DeRon but nobody has said it. He got hurt two minutes prior to the Haas play. Biggie backed Davis down into the post and accidentally smacked Davis' face with the back of his head. Offensive foul was called on Biggie. Davis looked woozy for the next two minutes. When he drove on Haas (and was barely touched) he went down. I believe it was the lingering effect of the Biggie play.
