Gotta go back and see Purdue's last win when shooting that poorly - (19/58, 32.8% - 3/25, 12%). Started slowly from the line but finished 28/37 for 75.7% - a BIG reason they hung on for this one.

Purdue shot 36 free throws, Purdue was 3-24 from 3 today, can’t blame that on Green. Look, I understand being frustrated some but blaming the ref today for a terrible game played is wrong. Take the W and move on, hopefully you had Davidson +15.5, it was an easy winner.

No they played hard. Big rebounding edge, good effort. Choked shooting.
Was really hoping that was Nebraska. But, Purdue teams have often struggled coming out of final exams.

We had lots of wide open shots that didn't go. Happens. Not always going to shoot that bad.
For sure - they're surviving shooting like the arc is the Arctic Circle. At some point, they'll start hitting them......rather see that in March anyway. At least they started getting it to Zach Edey, and he was excellent today in handling the pressure - ONE turnover for Zachen!
Rough night shooting, prevailed. These are good tests against the types of scrappy teams they may see early in March

Yes - Marquette had 39 (15 offensive) to Purdue's 35.
Loyer started to drive more in the later stages - got a couple of fouls.....a lot of the misses today were short it seemed.....maybe it was more mental fatigue......just speculating. We'll see come Wednesday in Mackey Arena against New Orleans if they've got things more straightened out.
THAT will be hard to top - made NFL history today. Houston Oilers are now off the clock thanks to that utter debacle.
The guys made it through finals week and their first full week of being ranked #1 without a loss. It wasn't pretty, but it is now behind them.

I've seen a lot of Boiler teams lay down and quit in games like this. Never saw a sign of panic the entire game.
I don't know if we'd have won a game last year, shooting 12% from 3. Hopefully that doesn't happen much more this year.
I blame it on Hummel. Whenever he calls our games we play terrible. Lol

They doubled Edey on both the entry pass and the catch. No one could hit anything, Purdue won on pure effort alone

We have some excellent shooters. If they hit at their normal rate, normal means how they were shooting before the last two games, this would have been a 20 point blow out.
it has happened twice now. earlier game they went 3 for 19 i believe
Not blaming Green on this one, 36 free throws to 11, I blame poor shooting, unless Green had something to do with that he’s off the hook with the spread conspiracy stuff.
Yes. They have been wide open shots though. Those are going to start falling. Especially with the good shooters we have.
