Hazell was asked about the report last week that said he'd be back at Purdue in 2016. Has he told he'll be back? "We have not had those conversations. I’m not sure which media started that, but Morgan and I will talk after the season."
How confident does he feel he'll be back? "I don’t know if I have any comments to that right now."
Does he feel like he's done enough to stay? "I think we’re heading in the right direction for sure, absolutely. I’m 100 percent certain we are, that we’re heading in the right direction. Obviously not on the wins and losses. But are we getting close? Absolutely. We’re like this (motioning up and down) right now. That’s the thing I talked to our team about last night. You can’t play (high) one week and play (low) another week."
