Spoke with Anthrop this morning for another story I'm working on but made sure to ask him how he's progressing with the knee.

"I'm doing really well. Really well," he said. "I think the end of May slash early June when we have our organized stuff this summer with the team, I think that’s when I’ll probably get cleared. Hopefully. It feels really good. I feel the best when I’m out running routes. The hardest stuff is weight room stuff, just because I haven’t done it in, like, five months."

Anthrop was actually doing route-running a bit in the spring, and it surprised some onlookers how he was able to cut.

"That stuff doesn’t bother me at all, which is very surprising because I heard that was the hardest thing for people to get over. For me, it’s technical stuff right now," he said. "My (right) quad isn’t parallel (strength-wise) to my left quad, which is kind of skewed because I think my left leg was a little bit stronger to begin with. I would start on track with my left leg up, so it was always the power one. I think I’m more even than what the tests say, but I’m still very close to being full go."

Though Anthrop said he's eager to go 7-on-7 in June when most of his teammates are back, he said he'll make sure to "take it easy," too. He knows it's important for him to get back in shape, so that'll be an emphasis this summer.

"I feel great," he said. "I got lucky. I know a lot of people, it’s years. Some of my teammates have ACLs and they still kind of giddy on it. I don’t know if it’s just me eager to get back out there or what, but I feel good."
