Dakich screwing with us again

WKU fan here. Brohm does not have an agent and he has publicly let it be known that he will not talk to anybody about jobs until any season is done. Not sure where info is coming from other than media just throwing darts at this moment. Brohm might talk to Purdue after our championship game..... Who knows. Good luck on your search.... Just hoping it's not our Brohm ;)

Are you sure he doesn't have an agent? I can't imagine being a former NFL QB that almost requires an agent, he wouldn't have one still. He does have an agency booking his speaking dates and appearances...so I can't imagine he doesn't have an agent.

Thanks for stopping by. Curious about your thoughts on the situation. Do you think he would be a good hire? How much of the program building was he responsible for at WKU?

I read some of your Scout board and was glad (but not surprised) to see nobody wants him to leave. I was a bit surprised, however, that many think he should hold out for a better offer (some also need to be educated on Purdue vs. Indiana football, but that's for another day). But then again some here feel like we can do better, so maybe that shows it is a good match when you take away biases.

Facts are this is a P5 program, founding member of one of the nation's premier conferences, historically .500 program (similar to Illinois, Iowa) with many ups and downs in its history like many other programs. We are currently in a down cycle, which is why we are looking for a coach. The administration has learned some very important lessons the hard way and is now after years of neglect and change in AD, finally showing signs of increased commitment to the football program.

We all think Brohm is a high major / NFL caliber coach and he turned down bigger jobs last season than the Purdue job. WKU fans are very knowledgeable and understand the past history of Purdue and mean no disrespect towards your program, but JB has landed a special place in our hearts and if he leaves we feel it should be for a job like LSU/Bama. His interview yesterday on Nashville radio touched on the subject and he shot it down quickly. I think he maybe your first choice, but Purdue will have to convince him. He is a huge family man which is more important than money to him .... And his family is all in this area. Like I said. Who knows.

Thanks for the WKU perspective. Typically a jump from your conference straight to a premier HC job like Bama doesn't happen but can't fault your fans for thinking so highly of him. We had a visitor from WMU earlier who was similarly high on Fleck. It is great to hear that our "realistic options" are so highly regarded by their schools fans. This year is a strong buyer's market for head coaches. Not many openings and the premier ones have been mostly filled, save Oregon. The choice these guys will have is to strike while the iron is hot for 8-figure guaranteed money or stay put and roll the dice.

You guys can keep him. Unproven if he can recruit especially at a MAJOR University.

Kentucky and Indiana are border states. Can't get much closer than that. No way is a coach from Western Kentucky going to jump all the way to an elite job like Bama. Glad you think highly of him though.

Louisville fan here who's hopeful Brohm succeeds Petrino someday. You'd be lucky to get Brohm as your next head coach.

His patience and maturity concerning the coaching carousel each year is to be admired.

And no, he has no agent. He cuts his own deals, he leans on the advice of family and has a savvy support system with his wife and parents. They're a football family, believe me, they know what they're doing.

Appreciate you stopping by, but we have and will continue to help ourselves to your coaches whenever we feel like it!
Sounds good to me
twin degrees wants Old Les, but he's in the minority on this board. Most of us would be very happy with Brohm.

I'm a WKU fan/alumni and I totally agree with this statement. Terrible recruiter and coach. Purdue really doesn't want Brohm, anyone is better.

Seriously, I really hope we don't lose him but Purdue will be getting a great one if he chooses to leave.
