an interesting twist. the article says he isn't currently rated, so he was off everybody's radar. the article also said with his commitment, 3* Bell decided not to visit. Bell was a quality DE who was committed to WKU that Brohm was trying to flip. And Parks and Craft left to make room for Him? I would have thought if Brohm signed another DE, it would have been Arak.
he must surely have something no scouting service or other Division 1 power 5 program has seen? A true hidden nugget. I'm intrigued, but his commitment raises a lot of questions about other players that I thought were higher priorities and targets.
McDuffie has academic hurdles ahead of him. Marks is moving inside to play DT in college and he's a mid-year enrollee.
I've read that. I've also read Brohm wants to add both Taylor and Moore, a RB and a TE, and he went after Israel , so I suspect he wants another DB too. Based on Mark's other offers, and Brohm's other targets, this was not the first commitment I expected this weekend.
let it set in, Brohm basically chose Marks over better known/scouted recruits Bell. McDuffie and Parks. That's pretty high praise for a player who was previously unranked, and not heavily recruited. He's definitely a future DT. And maybe that's what Brohm wanted.
I can't really criticize Brohm or Marks. But his commitment is a surprise.
Just blows my mind thinking about being barely 18 and making a decision mid December where I’m going to spend the next four years, maybe at a place I wasn’t even sure I’d get an offer from until recently, half way across the country, and showing up on campus and starting classes a few weeks later in January. Nature of the business I suppose!
