As you look at this current roster makeup for the coming seasons, what are the biggest needs and also who are the best available prospects on Purdue's radar for 2017 and 2018 (other than Nojel Eastern for '17)?

Does anyone have any opinions of what positions or prospects should be targeted for 2017 and 2018? I know the latest development is the recruitment of 6'7" forward Eden Ewing, a JUCO prospect for 2017.

There will be further attrition. Always is.

A combo guard with size to compliment Carsen Edwards is a top priority and Eastern sounds perfect for that role. He should be able to step right in and take Spike's minutes if he chooses Purdue.

The other top priority is a big who can step in and produce right away in case Swanigan and/or Vince Edwards leaves. I think that it may take a little time until Wheeler and Haarms are ready to produce, so having a more physically mature player is important. Either Ewing or Haase would seem to fit this role.

That's not the question I asked in either post.
Correct. But it potentially changes the need. IMO- Swanny gone for sure. Good chance that VE bolts. I'm in the minority but input BS leaving as 5th year Xfer, and potentially one more curve ball like JT.

I think Ewing is more of a wing/combo forward (much like Aaron Wheeler), so I don't think he would be the answer for a "big" or "post". Eastern and Felipe Haase look like the best known prospects remaining to fill those scholarships. Here's Verbal Commits list of prospects in their Purdue Scholarship Grid section:

I don't really know. I see that Verbal Commits lists him as 6'9", but I haven't watched him play a game so I don't really know what positions he can play.

Versatile bigs are always good gets. Versatile is the key word.
