Because he's paid a couple of dollars for it. He looks now to have won a down year league ship and not much more so far this year. Some teams get much better at the end of seasons. It does not look like Painter can. And, my point is, when we get beat, the mantra by some is, "well, Painter isn't to blame...he didn't shot or guard anyone". Then, hell, stop giving him credit for a win. I find it shocking how anyone gets on here and lists calmly why they are unhappy with the play or coaching...to have that followed by an emotional tantrum and ad homs. As Alum, and ticket/merchandise buyers, it's our right to have higher expectations for our team. It's your right to accept mediocrity. NOT SAYING YOU DO. Just saying, if someone wants to get on here and lay out why they're not happy and expect better, that's their right. These emotional outburst are ridiculous. If we flame out in the first or second round of the NCAA you better believe some folks will consider that not good enough. If you don't like the opinions of others, how about you rebut them? Tell us that winning the league in a quite possible down year is enough. The fact is, in 5 years or so, nobody will remember the league was pathetic that year and some will drag it out and parade it around. It's all good. However, maybe someone will remind them, that year nobody did squat in the NCAA, meaning quite possibly the year was weak. Or, maybe a couple of teams will light up the tourney and that dog won't hunt. The book is unwritten.
