Was watching the Cubs get destroyed by Detroit last night and who do I see one the mound but Clayton Richard, the Lafayette product we at one time recruited only to lose him to Michigan where he competed with Chad Henne in football and pitched baseball. He has been a journeyman pitcher the last few years in MLB.
The other thing I saw today was a news item that former Lions/ Bears QB Erik Kramer had tried to commit suicide and is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. His ex-wife Marshawn blames it on CTE stemming from his time with the Bears and says he isn't the same guy she married. Kramer lost a son to a drug overdose in 2011. Griffin was to be a senior in high school. Thoughts and prayers are needed for that family.
