Worthless Repubs in Congress screwed Seniors. No tax on SS not in "Big Beautiful Bill". At best they get a new $4000 deduction amounting to maybe $480 off taxes.....and even that runs out in 2029 where that is no longer available. Just another example why I say BOTH parties are worthless and are not to be trusted.

Totally agree as they do absolutely nothing promised to benefit seniors.

Plus this Big Crappy Bill is going to add almost $4 trillion dollars to the deficit. The repubs sure don't mind blowing out the deficit when there is a repub president. This is why voodoo economics don't work.

No tax on SS could not be changed via the budget reconciliation process. Most proposals by President Trump are included. Another viewpoint on the SS tax and other tax reductions from 2017 is that 214 members members of the House voted for a massive tax increase.

My big bitch is the SALT increase. Why should I as a federal tax payer subsidize state and local tax states for NY, CA and other high tax states. Rep. Lawler should be bitching at Gov. Hochel to reduce NY taxes.

Under reconciliation they could have given seniors a ~ $2500 tax credit and keep it permanent instead of of 2029 sunset.....that would have worked fine for the promise. Instead they decided to screw seniors - gave a hapless paltry deduction. I won't forget.

Agree on 100% on SALT.
