I think that was an obvious question in the beginning. The other obvious question is, what are the pluses and minuses of McKeeman and Eifert compared to the last two on most teams? Ya need 10 solid players for practice, 8 for a game. Keeping an open spot for 5th year makes sense today. Players like Kendall...Bryson want to see the court more and leave. Prior to leaving, was there a possibility they may not have been happy campers in the dressing room...with other team members and how did "that" play out? I haven't counted who or how many are on the team, but do know that playing more than 8 is tough and that kids today are seeking more immediate playing time than players years ago that had no problem waiting until their junior years to get meaningful minutes. Your point was understood, but until I count who and how many are on the team it is not an immediate concern...I think the bigger topic is why were 3 scholarships still available for so long that it resulted in two of them being awarded to Jon McKeeman and Grady Eifert? I understand that guys like McKeeman will feel honored and, in his case, he's been a part of the program for five years now so I understand giving him one. However, if the staff would have pursued and been able to get two more players for quality depth, second-year walk-ons like Grady Eifert would not have gotten a scholarship this season.
