Congrats to your boy Swanigan

Validated his decision to go pro. Worked out well for him as I don't think he was forecasted to go much higher than that. Still wish he would've ended up at MSU, but damn he was a beast this past season. Can't say I'm not happy that we won't have to face him this season.
As you watch the draft for the make believe basketball shifted to entertainment rather than sport, it was easy to notice all the players drafted before Biggie, Hart and Mason...great college players but not thought highly for the NBA. Yes I agree...was as high as any projections I saw...and we know one thing you won't have to worry about Biggie doing the right things or giving you 100%. Very happy for him...

I'd have to say he also validated his decision to go to Purdue in spite of what many on your board have said over the past couple of years.

THAT decision was validated by anyone that knew his desires...position to be played. It was NEVER in doubt by me as teh best decision ...without my black and gold glasses. AS I said a few times...he is a warrior that believes "his" team will win even if not surrounded by many burger boys...he invites a battle. Usually, you find that mental aspect among defenders, but he has it even though he is better served on the offensive end.

I'd say at the time many MSU people, myself included, thought MSU would be a better place for him to showcase his stuff. But we were wrong. I wasn't that impressed his freshman season, but he made the right move and came back for his sophomore season and really showcased his overall game.

Hey, no hard feelings. He's a Boilermaker and should be someone you guys should be proud of. It will be interesting to see how he develops as an NBA player. All of the "experts" say he doesn't have a position. Might be true at face value, but there are no absolutes. Draymond Green was a 2nd round pick, even after having a spectacular college career.

Hope it works out for him. Still can't believe he was almost 360 pounds as an 8th grader. Guy has really worked hard and I hope he gets put in the right positions to succeed in the NBA.

Why does nobody compare him to a Carlos Boozer? To me that seems a lot more accurate, lacking defensively, but good offense, great rebounder.
