Congrats to Coach Darner and Florida Southern

+1

His team has done it playing Darner's own style as well: uptempo, taking the first real good shot they get (even if it's the "dreaded" early in the shot-clock) and using full-court pressure on defense.

I remember when he played for the Boilers. His playing time seemed to decrease every year but he could shoot pretty well.

When I hear the name Linc Darner, I first think of Zelda and then think of the IU game at Ass Hall in which Darner took the last shot only to get it swatted. GRob scored about 39 that game but Darner got the last shot.

Didn't the Big Dog dunk it after that just to show how open he was?

I remember that being one of my initial thoughts as well when I first started watching Purdue games in the '90-'91 season (Darner's freshman season). I had started playing the first two Zelda games on Nintendo within the previous two or so years before I really knew about and paid attention to Purdue basketball, so I was confused at first, lol.

My thought was that Henderson flattened Darner on that shot. The camera angle was behind the shooter iirc, at least the replay, and he fell backwards after the shot. I was itching to grab the broom just moments prior to that.

Needs to instill some Boilermaker class in the FS program.
Their antics after they won tonight on a late three was classless.
Players hooting at the visiting crowd and skipping the postgame handshake line.
Sorry that did not make this Purdue fan proud
