Coming into this season......

....I acknowledged that Purdue was lacking depth and talent to be competitive. However, I was also hoping that this team had underachieved the last several years. (And given the DH and DH2 coaching staffs, that is not hard to imagine) I think that tonight's game may be proof of that. In fact, Purdue played better these last two games than any games during DH2's tenure.

While this team has a long way to go to be successful, I think that this team is going to be fun to watch this season.

Agreed. I was one predicting 3 wins (mostly to temper expectations for a new staff- just hate to see people put high expectations then jump ship mid way through year 1 of a rebuild because we don't beat Wisconsin or Michigan). Still may happen, but it looks like 6 is possible if we continue to get good line play and smart QB play. Still not sure we have the depth in year one- staying healthy on the lines will be absolutely critical. Glad for these transfers Brohm found late in the game. They are the difference makers IMO.

Injuries through the tough opponents coming up will play a major role on how we finish the winnable games at the end! Hoping we can stay relatively free of major injuries throughout the year! South Carolina plays at Mizzu tonight at 6:00 EST and should be on TV somewhere to watch our next opponent play!
