College basketball vs. Football

I saw where PurdueMens Basketball will be playing next Thanksgiving.

Raises the question, is college basketball expanding / infringing upon football (pro or college)?

Feels like it to me!

Not really. There have been holiday tournaments during that week for a number of years now. Not all of them actually play ON Thanksgiving, but this one happens to. NFL Football will always be the staple of Thanksgiving. A little 4-team basketball tournament can't and won't compete. Even the Egg Bowl only matters in Mississippi.
