Nice ESPN story today on Coach Martin. He's just a good man. Tenn. deserves Pearl. I only wish them bad luck.

Pearl may have messed up things for himself, but he is a good man too.

I am happy for Cuonzo and he is an inspirational person; the Volunteer fanbase really messed up with how they treated him. I see no reason to dump on Pearl, he is not to blame for the obnoxious members of the Vol fanbase that drove Cuonzo away. Not to mention a lot of Vol fans liked Cuonzo too. Unfortunately the negative people were very vocal.

To a certain extent, you are probably right even though you have a higher opinion of him than I do.

The biggest reason Cuonzo had trouble at UT was because, well I will just say his appearance.
I lived there during his coaching stint and those people will never get passed the past. The racial undertones in Knoxville are alive and well.

Cuonzo was in the CHRISTMAS parade on a float. The people behind me yelled that someone had let the monkey out of his cage. And another said that he should be pulling the float, not on it.

I yelled "GO BOILERS!" at him and I got a laugh and a thumbs up from Coach.

I am so happy my favorite Boilermaker is now somewhere he is appreciated. Cal is my second favorite team behind the Old Gold & Black

Pearl is scum....and a cheater.......they can keep him down south at Auburn.....or take him back at TN, heck he would fit in at IU just like Sampson did...truly I don't care...just don't ever let him near Purdue....

Zo I agree with you, he is an inspiration to all young men to be the best you can be and never give up.....love that he is a Boilermaker to the core......
