CMP Sucks

Attack with [Carsen, Vince, Mathias] then look to pass around a collapsing defense to an open player.

Stop letting our players stand around then take bad shots.

Stop trying to have Haas beat a set defense.
Honestly, did you watch the game? What you explained didn’t happen at all because two of the players you mention took 2/3’rds of the shots and Haas only got 5 shot opportunities. He drew many fouls and the short amount of time they actually worked him in is when Purdue controlled the game a bit.

CMP runs a motion offense designed to keep the ball moving and get open shots...the ball stuck in the hands of Vince and Carsen. The times the ball moved in the offense the way it should (for example at the 12 minute mark of the second half)...the shots went in with great looks. Carsen and Vince made bad decisions and forced the offense to go through them instead of letting the offense come to them.

Vince didn't play well or shoot well, but other than a wrong footed step back, I'm not sure I would say he took bad shots or that the ball stuck in his hands. In fact, we made four 3s off of his drives and kickouts. He had multiple 3s go halfway down and out which is more of a luck thing. He finished very poorly. But that's different than the ball sticking with him.

Maybe they didn't give Haas the ball because he had butter fingers and lost the ball most of the time he was given it. If he'd just use half his strength, he'd dominate.

13 shots and made 4...not a good average. He took some well contested threes when he could continue ball movement and setup other players for better shots.

He didn't shoot well. He's historically been an efficient player. He didn't make shots today. People have been screaming for him to keep playing/shooting in the midst of a tough game and not "disappear." Sometimes you keep playing hard and you just don't make shots. He didn't play well today. He also has 4 years to his name to suggest he isn't selfish and made more good passes than anyone. Both can be true.

13 attempts in an OT hasn't feels low

Honestly, did you read my post?

I first stated that we need to collapse the defense and pass! We rarely drove and dished.

Secondly, Vince and company went one vs. one against the defense countless times.

Lastly, I stated that if CMP expects Haas to beat a set defense then we are screwed. Haas didn't take many shots but he did get lots of looks... some of which became turnovers and free throws.

I clearly listed "the Haas problem" as the third issue with our team not the most important.

He plays bad against good competition..... that is all you need to know.

I don't care about a bad shooting night. Vince had 2 uncontested travels. One hurt us very late. He has always had bad footwork. This is what I'm talking about when I say Painter is terrible. He doesn't fix the issues.
