Cline

He's shown flashes this season of changes to his game. His D is improved, passing is good, and now taking it inside on the move makes it tougher for the opponent to just sit on his 3 without any other worries. He also seems to have acquired a little bit of an edge which us a plus.

Good to see him continue to work to make himself more of an all around player. We are going to need him to step into the Dakota role next year, at least on offense. He'll never be a primary ball handler, but he's now more than just a guy who hangs out at the three point line.

Yes, I've been presently surprised with Cline's ability to take the ball into the lane this year. It will get him some space on the perimeter if he can do it regularly.

Would still like to see NE be more aggressive and get going towards the rim or really pushing the ball up the floor.
Like most freshman, I'm sure he's worried about making mistakes and getting a quick hook but he has to play to his strengths.

Good to see Cline have a good game. We are going to to need him to contribute if this team is going to be successful this year. Now if we can get Nojel untracked, I think we have a monumental season!!
It's all about confidence. He is getting less minutes and one tends to press when that is the case. Let's make no mistake, Purdue needs RC to be a weapon if a run in March is going to occur. Here's to hoping that last night is just the beginning of his resurgence.

Yup. Cline's play yesterday was even more important beyond his points, it was the timing of those points. The entire second half, both teams were going back and forth and neither team could get more than a 4 point lead. We essentially traded baskets back and forth. There was a time though, kinda around the 10 minute to 3 minute mark, that NU was consistently up 2 points and Purdue was playing each possession to get back to a tie. Many of those times, Purdue could have gone into a drought, but Cline was there with a three pointer or a drive that kept them alive. Even considering the fact that NU seemed to be making every freakin' shot that they threw up, they could never pull away because Cline kept us in it.
