Yep, heard that as well. Opportunity for someone to step up and remove a redshirt if they are close to ready.
Hope injuries are minimized the 2nd half of the season.
I feel very bad for Rice. So much talent and he keeps getting injured. That would be demoralizing.
Dang. Was expecting both of these guys to break out as season wore on and get some great experience/momentum heading into next year. I've been impressed with both so far and this is more of a setback for the passing offense next year as they will still be pretty green due to injuries.
Too bad about both of these guys.. Yaseen was good for at least 1 spectacular catch a game. I wonder if Yaseen's injury is related to his knee. I understand he had surgery maybe late last year. Anyone know what kind of knee injury he had last year? ACL?

I remember yaseen coming out in a game. i mentioned it in the game thread. Don't know if it's related.
Yaseen was injured in practice last week per G&B post yesterday. Rice's has been ongoing--don't know.
Is he the one whose Dad has been vocal about wanting to get him on the field early? Maybe a good thing he saw some game action before this season ending practice injury occurred. Hope to have him back and 100% next year.
Possibly. I dont recall seeing that. Unless your talking about Mockabee who's uncle is active on the board.
I like what I've seen from him (Yaseen) this year. Unfortunate for both of these young men, but hopefully they fully heal, persevere and overcome - the opportunity should still be there next season, IMO.
He's had ongoing trouble with his knee and had been only practicing every other day from one or two of CJBs interviews. Perhaps they just decided to shut it down for the rest of the year.
I remember in one of CJBs interviews mentioning Yaseens dad. Believe it was after the IL game. Im really hoping they just decided to shut him down or just a minor scope to clean up anything from his previous surgery.
