After last weeks game and reading some of the Nebraska fans comments, I thought about looking at 3 "premiere" programs. Tenn, Nebraska, and UCLA, think they should be playing for NC every year. They are a combined 2-11 with better talent and better recruits than us. CJB took a program that was a laughing stock and half way through his 2nd season he is. 500. The AD needs to do whatever it takes to keep him happy.

Fair enough. How about a program that made a splash hire that they think will turn them around.

Remember when Oklahoma and Nebraska would play each other at the end of the season? Nearly every year they both were always rated in the top 5. Nebraska joined the Big 10 and they haven't been a factor since.

Remember when Penn State would always be in the top 5 at the end of the every year? Joined the Big 10 and that was over.

That said, Nebraska has had several NC's, but it's been a while.

Penn state is a national power again.

That wasn't the point I was trying to make. Upon joining the Big Ten, they immediately fell out of the "every year we are a top five program" essay. Just like Nebraska.

I just hope that one day, we can boast that we are consistently a top twenty team.
